Jason De Carteret




Jason has been leading expeditions in over 64 countries, a World Record Holder for the fastest journey from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole and he has skied to both the North and South Pole several times over the last 4 years. A long time dog musher Jason also holds the British record for the worlds most northern 500km dog sled race which is 300 miles north of the Arctic Circle. A motivational Speaker who regularly lectures at the Royal Geographical Society both in London and Hong Kong about his many different experiences and expeditions

1989 he undertook a trans-Africa journey, which saw Jason spending time in Zimbabwe with an anti-poaching unit called Operation Stronghold, here he worked under a “shoot to kill” policy and it provided many high and low experiences. From 1991 to 1995, Jason’s career took off with Raleigh International where he was an Expedition Leader in Namibia, Zimbabwe, Belize, Botswana, Chile and Alaska. Alaska is where his love of the Polar Regions started.

In 1996 he trained as a commercial helicopter pilot and under took big game relocation in Southern Africa being responsible for relocating over 14,000 animals from areas hit by either drought, poaching or over population.

In 1999, Jason decided to return to the UK and soon took on the task to set up Voyage Concepts, offering high end and professional adventure travel to clients including corporate, charities and private individuals. Expeditions to the North and South Poles have been a strong hold for the company and an area that we have seen a steady growth in giving people the best experience of a beautiful environment.
